What We Believe

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation, what we believe and how we live.

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father in Creation, as Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in the Believer. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man.

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ through the New Testament new-birth experience.

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel by repenting of our sins (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). This threefold experience is the consistent pattern of conversion in the early church.

Our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is expressed by calling on His name in the waters of baptism. Water baptism by full immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ is an act of obedience identifying with Jesus in death to sin, burial of the old nature, and resurrection to new life.

We believe when someone receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that person will speak with other tongues under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the authority of God is vested in the Name of Jesus.  All the believer does “in word or deed” is to be done in Jesus’ Name. The Name of Jesus becomes our new “family name”.

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We believe the church, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is called to affect genuine spiritual change in the community. We are a Spirit-filled and Bible-based church.

As Christians, we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully.

God’s power is still active, and the supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death.
